Bright Night for the Arts

Community members are invited to celebrate Evanston’s vibrant arts community at the 3rd annual “A Bright Night for the Arts” event on Thursday, October 6, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Rotary International Building, 3rd Floor Atrium and Auditorium, 1560 Sherman Ave., in Evanston.

Tickets are $25 in advance and are available online at abrightnightforthearts3.splashthat.com. If space is available, tickets may be purchased at the door.

The event, sponsored by the Evanston Arts Council, will include:

  • A mix-n-mingle cocktail hour with tasty bites, wine and great conversation;
  • A video montage tribute to Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl for her support for the arts during her tenure as mayor;
  • Three “Bright Spot” presentations – short, dynamic presentations of exciting or innovative projects that took place during the year;
  • Presentation of the Mayor’s Awards for the Arts for one individual and one organization who have made great impact through the arts;
  • A poetry slam by an award-winning high school student;
  • A photo-rich overview of the past year in the arts in Evanston.

 Attendees are invited to share their experience with friends on social media by using the hashtag #BrightNight3.
