At the Sept. 12 District 65 Board meeting, Board President Candance Chow thanked Jennifer Phillips for her “passion and commitment to the Board and the District.” Ms. Phillips tendered her resignation on Aug. 31 and said the family is moving out of the District.
Some people have already submitted applications and resumes, Ms. Chow said, and the Districat will continue to accept applications until 5 p.m. on Sept. 29. The District will make an appointment in October, and the position will be up for election in April 2017. Whoever wins that election will complete Ms. Phillips’s term, expiring in 2019, she added.
