The Chessmen Club of the North Shore, Inc. will host a community health forum. “Mental Health – Treatment in the Age of Social Media and Obamacare” – from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 19 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1818 Maple Ave.
Carl Hampton, MSW, LCSW, of The Family Institute at Northwestern University will facilitate the discussion, which will include such topics as how the roles of various mental health providers are differentiated and whom to see for medication, for marital issues, and for child and adolescent challenges and stress. Panelists will also discuss trends they see in their current patient population.
