The Evanston School Children’s Clothing Association’s 25th annual Pumpkin Patch, held this year on Oct. 15 in Independence Park on Central Street, was once again very successful. It turned out to be a gorgeous warm October day and fun was had by all, including enamored children who thoroughly enjoyed the face painting and craft table. Coldwell Banker donates the pumpkins and all proceeds from the pumpkin sales benefit ESCCA, which provides clothes and shoes to over 700 needy children from District 65 schools annually.
ESCCA is desperately in need of ski jackets, snow pants and fleece. Donations can be dropped off behind the JEH Administration Building at 1500 Mc Daniel Ave. Any monetary donations are welcome at escca.org.
