The Evanston Police Department is currently seeking the public’s help in a reported missing person case. The missing person, Nyameka Amanda Bell, age 33 was reported missing by her husband in September of 2016. According to the husband, Bell left their residence in November of 2015 and he has not heard from her since.
In the course of their investigation, Evanston police detectives spoke with acquaintances of Bell, who have not heard from or seen her since February of 2016. Bell’s relatives in South Africa, where she is originally from, also advised they have not heard from her since approximately February of 2016. Detectives checked with Bell’s last known employer and discovered that she never picked up her last paycheck. Detectives have checked with all known acquaintances and relatives, credit card, banking and cellular phone records, as well as vehicle and travel information and are unable to generate any leads on the whereabouts of Bell.
Bell is also known by the names Nyameka Malindi and Amanda Malindi. Bell’s vehicle a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta, grey in color bearing expired Illinois registration V609349 is also unaccounted for.
Bell is described as a female/black, 33 years old, 5’0″, 150lbs.
