After opening schools in Lake Forest and Oak Brook, Fusion Academy is preparing to introduce two additional campuses, one in Evanston and the other in Lincoln Park in Chicago. The schools will provide one-to-one (teacher to student) classrooms for kids in grades 6-12.
The Evanston campus, scheduled to open in January, will be located at 847 Chicago Ave., Suite 200. The Lincoln Park campus is scheduled to open in the spring. Both facilities are among nearly 40 Fusion campuses across the country.
“Parents in the community are committed to ensuring their children have access to the educational resources they need to succeed,” said Daniel Morgan, regional vice president of new school operations for Fusion Academy. “In many cases, this means sending their kids to the excellent public schools in the area, but for some it means looking for options that more appropriately meet the individual needs of their children. As a result of the success of our schools in Lake Forest and Oak Brook, we’ve received numerous inquiries from parents surrounding these communities who are looking for the type of one-on-one engagement available at Fusion Academy.”
Fusion was founded in San Diego, California more than 20 years ago. Fusion offers flexible scheduling. At Fusion, homework is completed in the Homework Café® on campus and students must be signed out by their lead teacher before leaving for the day. This policy enables students to spend time with family and friends, while simultaneously making sure they receive the instructional support they require to complete assignments.
