There are four open seats on the District 65 School Board with four-year terms, and one seat with a two-year unexpired term. The Board’s website says, “Candidates must specify this position [the two-year position] on their P-7 Petition Sheet.”
According to the Cook County Clerk’s website, as of the morning of Dec. 14, four candidates have filed for a four-year term: Nicholas Korzeniowski; Lindsay M. Cohen; Candance Chow (incumbent); and Sunith Kartha (incumbent).
One candidate, Anya Tanyuvutti (incumbent), filed for the two-year unexpired term. Ms. Tanyuvutti was recently appointed by the District 65 School Board to fill the vacancy left by Jennifer Phillips, who resigned her position on Aug. 31.
Serigo Hernandez Jr. also filed nominating positions for the District 65 School Board, but the Clerk’s website does not say whether he is running for a 2-year or 4-year term.
There are four open seats on the District 202 School Board, each of which will have a four-year term.
