On Jan.  5, 2017 at approximately 9:45 p.m., a 16-year old female from  Chicago was walking home in the 1500 block of Howard Street when she was approached by a man who attempted to cover her face with a white rag or towel, said Commander Joe Dugan of the Evanston Police Department. The victim was able to flee on foot.  The man was last seen traveling on foot going northbound through a parking lot in the 1300 block of Howard Street.  The girl was not injured in the incident.  

The offender is described as follows:  male/white in his 50’s, short in height, 130lbs., wearing a brown hat and brown vest.
