Evanston Police Chief Richard Eddington is preparing for the Jan. 30 Police Open House by asking the community to submit questions and topics on which they would like additional information.
The open house is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. on Jan. 30 at the Levy Center, 300 Dodge Ave. After a formal presentation, participants will be able to speak to representatives of the various police teams.
“It’s a version of a deployment meeting,” Chief Eddington said at the Jan. 9 City Council meeting. “I’m looking forward to having the community see how decisions are made,” Chief Eddington said.
City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz said the City will use social media, e-news and ward letters to ask for community input. Anyone who wishes to submit topics or questions may call 311, call or text 847-448-4311, or submit questions via twitter @EvanstonPD or through the Police Department’s Facebook page.
