Hundreds of Cubs fans checked out the traveling World Series trophy, where it rested for about an hour and a half in the basement of the Morton Civic Center on Jan. 22.

Seems the Cubs organization called the City to see if they could drop by.

City Engagement Specialist Martha Logan said 500 wristbands were given out for folks to take pictures or have their pictures taken, one per picture, so a family of four who wished to have four photos taken would receive four wristbands.

Above that number, folks had to take their chances. After 108 years, a half-hour wait in line probably did not seem so long.

No goats were spotted around the Civic Center.
