Platform will present “Window Wonders,” a two-person exhibition with Karen Connell and Jeroen Nelemans. The name is in reference to Cabinets of Curiosities, or the Wunderkammer (Wonder Room).
This exhibition continues the dialogue with the history of Cabinets of Curiosities. Precursors of the modern museum, these archived collections served to transform the mundane into a place for inspiration and creative thought. Both Ms. Connell and Mr. Nelemans bring forward their own curiosities: magical constructions and relics that feel – otherworldly.
There will be a reception from 5-7:30 p.m. on Feb. 4 at Platform, 904 Sherman Ave. The exhibit runs through March 19.
