YWCA Evanston/North Shore invites community members high-school age and above to join to the inaugural racial justice book discussion group AfterWords.
The first book to be discussed is “NOBODY: Casualties of America’s War on the Vulnerable, from Ferguson to Flint and Beyond,” by Dr. Marc Lamont Hill.
Participants are asked to bring lunch or a snack; the YWCA will provide facilitators.
Two discussion group times are available on Feb. 16 and Mar. 7, one at lunchtime (11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.) and one in the evening (6-8 p.m.). Discussions will be held in the second-floor Community Room at YWCA Evanston/North Shore, 1215 Church St.
Twenty-five copies of the book are available for checkout for free at the YWCA front desk. Registration and additional information are available at ywca.org/AfterWords.
