More than 300 people from across Evanston and Skokie came out to support Foundation 65’s “My 65” benefit on Jan. 27, raising more than $125,000, exceeding fundraising goals, and allowing more support for all District 65 schools.
The highlights of the evening included a spoken-word performance by three District 65 middle school students Jasmine Dreller, Aiden Goodman, and Indira Abraham and a presentation by Kevin Coval, founder of Louder Than A Bomb: The Chicago Youth Poetry Festival, and the Artistic Director of Young Chicago Authors.
