On Feb. 17, at approximately 9:56 a.m., a caller contacted the Evanston Police Department to advise that they observed a person in the rear of a business in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue that they initially thought was sleeping, but were unable to wake up. Police officers along with the Evanston FIre Department responded and discovered a man, 48, whose last address was listed in Evanston, deceased, said Commander Joe Dugan of the Evanston Police Department.
Detectives went to the location to conduct an investigation, but at this time no signs of foul play have been discovered, said the Commander. The deceased was transported to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination. The identity of the deceased individual is not being released at this time, pending next of kin notification, said the Commander.
