Community Development Director Mark Muenzer has accepted the position of Assistant Community Development Director of Menlo Park, Cal., City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz announced recently. He said he accepted Mr. Muenzer’s decision “with gratitude and sadness. “In his three and a half years in Evanston, Mark has led a great team in Community Development as they have tackled important development projects, assisted the City Council to expand our inclusionary housing ordinance, and revised the Downtown Plan. Mark’s service as the City’s first LGBT liaison continued Evanston’s efforts in supporting and championing LGBT issues in our community.”
Mr. Muenzer’s last day in Evanston will be March 9. While the City conducts a search for a new Community Development Director, Planning and Zoning Administrator Scott Mangum will serve as Interim Community Development Director, Mr. Bobkiewicz said.
