Evanston’s Nichols Middle School sixth-grade Girl Scouts collected more
than $1,000 worth of food at Valli Produce and Jewel, to be donated to Hillside Food Pantry. Shoppers purchased cake mix, pasta, tuna, canned tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, and other canned items to be combined into kits for those in need.

On March 1, the Scouts made “dinner kits” and birthday-themed kits for Hillside Food Pantry patrons.
