“Upright Grand,” onstage through March 26 at the Citadel Theater in Lake Forest, is a play by Laura Shellhardt, senior lecturer in the School of Communication at Northwestern University.
“Upright Grand” is the story of a piano-playing father, the daughter whose success as a musician far outstrips his, and of a relationship in which neither can find the words to express either needs or expectations.
