Have Dreams Receives Grant from Million Dollar Round Table Foundation April 5, 2017 – The MDRT Foundation has awarded a $3,000 grant to Have Dreams, a Chicago area autism resource organization.
Through its global grants programs, the MDRT Foundation is committed to building stronger families and communities around the globe. This year, the MDRT Foundation will award over $1 million in MDRT member-endorsed grants to more than 200 charitable organizations worldwide.
Have Dreams, a Chicago-area nonprofit with facilities in Park Ridge and Evanston, serves children, teens and adults impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Founded in 1996, Have Dreams offers afterschool, workplace training and adult day programs, along with diagnostic and family support services. Serving ages 16 months to adulthood, the organization offers a broad range of programs to serve the full range of the autism spectrum. This grant award from MDRT Foundation will be used to support Have Dreams’ after-school Social, Communication and Independent Living Skills program for preschoolers, youth and teens with autism. “We are grateful to the MDRT Foundation for their support to bring these important autism intervention programs to individuals with autism in our community,” said Kris Johnsen, Executive Director of Have Dreams.
Representing the MDRT Foundation, Fred O’Connor, Financial Advisor at Northwestern Mutual presented this grant to Have Dreams on March 29, 2017 to the organization’s board at their March meeting.
