The City of Evanston will contract renovations to the Twiggs Park basketball court over the next two weeks. Minor work will begin on Thursday, June 15, with full-scale construction requiring the closure of the court scheduled to begin on Monday, June 19. Work is expected to be completed by Monday, June 26.

The renovation will include repairs to the basketball court playing surface, application of a new textured acrylic surface with custom logos and lettering, repainting of the basketball court lines, and replacement of the basketball court backboards and rims.

This project is being accomplished through a partnership with Northwestern University and an athletic sponsor, energy company Dynegy, at no cost to the City.

Twiggs Park is located at Dodge Avenue and Simpson Street.

Contractor
The general contractor for this project is American Sealcoating, 109 Coolspring Cir., Michigan City, Indiana.
