Please join us on July 9, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. on the terrace of the magnificent Charles Gates Dawes House, home of the Evanston History Center, for delicious appetizers, entrees and desserts from Evanston’s trendiest restaurants – and wash it down with beverages from local breweries and wine shops. Enjoy the virtuosic Gypsy jazz music of the Alfonso Ponticelli & Swing Gitan, the sleight of hand magic of AJ Sacco, tour the exquisite interior of the historic mansion, and much more. View schedule here.
This year’s theme is “Hungry For Work!” as proceeds will support local job training programs as well as ongoing philanthropic projects of the Evanston Lighthouse Rotary Club.
Event proceeds will benefit several local nonprofits whose mission aligns with work readiness. Funds raised will help the No Boundaries Training Program to provide workplace training for individuals with disabilities; Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse to teach deconstruction skills to people who are low-income, homeless, or ex-offenders; and the Evanston Work Ethic Program to provide mentoring, training and financial assistance to ETHS students who aspire to careers in the skilled trades.
