The Brookfield Zoo Animal Ambassador Program visited Family Focus on July 1, organized by Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin.
This program allowed an excited audience of almost 100 school-aged children and staff to enjoy up-close and personal experiences with both common and unusual mammals, birds, and reptiles. Through these animals, the staff was able to convey the importance of conservation – bringing people closer to animals will help the children gain an appreciation for the creatures of the natural world, said Karen Chavers, District Director for Commissioner Suffredin.
Family Focus Executive Director Colette Allen and her staff worked hard and welcomed the Ambassador Program – staff and critters – to the building.
