On Aug. 27, St. James Armenian Church, 816 Clark St. held its annual street fair.

The first street fair was held on Aug. 27, 1989. The fair now encompasses the entire street from Benson Avenue to Sherman Avenue.

Always a favorite end-of-summer event, the fair is known for its delicious Armenian cooking, energizing music, and dance, provided by local Armenian bands and an Armenian dance company. A full day of cultural programs were offered to highlight the ancient and modern culture of the Armenian people.
