City Council on Sept. 18 met in Executive Session to review and complete the annual performance review of City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz. Mr. Bobkiewicz has held the position for eight years.

“The City Council and I gave the City Manager a positive and strong performance review,” said Mayor Steve Hagerty in a statement released by the City. Mr. Bobkiewiz “achieved or exceeded expectations in each of 18 categories he was evaluated. Mr. Bobkiewicz received particular praise…for his communication skills, transparency, ability to build an exceptional management team and his leadership creating an Equity and Empowerment Coordinator.”

Mr. Hagerty said in the statement that Mr. Bobkiewicz asked that he not be considered for any salary adjustment or changes to his current contract dated Oct. 13, 2016. 

“The City Council and I thank Mr. Bobkiewicz for his service to the residents of Evanston and look forward to working with him in the future.”
