Community members were invited to tour the newest Geometry in Construction House at 2142 Dewey Ave., on Oct. 3. The event was hosted by Evanston Township High School in partnership with Community Partners for Affordable Housing (CPAH) and the City of Evanston.

The two-story home, built by ETHS students in the Geometry in Construction course, has three bedrooms upstairs, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen on the first floor, and deck in the back, in addition to the front porch. Appliances are energy-efficient with Energy Star ratings.

An ETHS employee and his family are settling into this new home.

Geometry in Construction is an interdisciplinary course that provides students with a better understanding of both geometry and construction content through the combination of academic and work-world contexts.
