The “Navigating Diversity” education series will kick off with a new session presented by Biz Lindsay-Ryan  at 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 15, at the JEH Administrative Building, 1500 McDaniel Ave. This session will address:  “How do we make sense of terms like ‘whiteness and ‘white supremacy’? What do we need to know to dismantle structural racism right here in Evanston? This session is geared towards white parents/guardians ready to deepen their understanding in order to take action.”

The session is free and open to the public. All are welcome. Childcare will be provided. Spanish interpretation will be provided.

The session is hosted by the PTA Council in partnership with Evanston/Skokie School District 65, the Organization for Positive Action and Leadership (OPAL), Youth & Opportunity United (Y.O.U.), Family Focus, YWCA Evanston/North Shore, The Moran Center for Youth Advocacy, Evanston Public Library, and the McGaw YMCA.
