Design Evanston, a local non-profit advocacy organization focused on promoting good design, recently announced the winners of the 2017 Design Evanston Awards program. This program recognizes designs that have made significant improvements within the Evanston community – both aesthetically and functionally.
This year’s honorees include the two-story commercial development at 1026 Davis Street. Designed by the Evanston-based architecture firm, Myefski Architects, the development contains three restaurant concepts – Taco Diablo, LuLu’s Dim Sum, and Five & Dime – as well as one street-level retail space.
“We’re very pleased our work is being recognized by an organization that’s actively advancing the Evanston experience,” shared Brian Wagner, Associate at Myefski Architects. “These restaurants represent a part of the downtown culture, and the outdoor rooftop atmosphere enhances the liveliness of Davis Street.”
