The City of Evanston’s annual holiday light recycling program will be held from Friday, December 1, 2017 through Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in conjunction with the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) and Elgin Recycling.

All holiday string lighting and extension cords are accepted through this free program. Garlands, live greens and wreaths will not be accepted.

Lights can be dropped off at the following Evanston locations:

Levy Senior Center, 300 Dodge Ave.
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Evanston Ecology Center, 2024 McCormick Blvd.
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Ave.
Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday, Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday: Noon to 6 p.m.
