Today, Daniel Biss announced the endorsement of the New Trier Democrats.

“We’re so excited to endorse Daniel Biss for governor,” said New Trier Democrats President Judy Mandel. “Illinois’ next governor will face major challenges, from fixing the school funding formula to raising much-needed revenue, so we need a leader we can trust to fight for our families. While we had opportunities to meet the other candidates, Daniel is a clear choice. We’ve seen his integrity, intelligence, and perseverance in action for years, and we’re confident he’s the right candidate for Illinois.”

“It’s an honor to receive the endorsement of the New Trier Democrats,” said Daniel Biss. “These are people I’ve known since I ran for office for the first time, and it means so much to have their support now. Each of my campaigns has been fueled by a fundamental belief in the power of grassroots organizing—in the idea that when we unite our communities, we can change our government at its very core. I’m proud to be joined by a group that shares this faith in people-powered politics, and looking forward to mobilizing our community in March, in November, and for years to come.”

In endorsing Daniel Biss, the New Trier Democrats join other progressive leaders and organizations including U.S. Congresswoman Robin Kelly, former Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon, State Representatives Kelly Cassidy, Carol Ammo
