Internationally renowned organist Alexander Frey will perform a recital of major organ works to benefit the E. M. Skinner organ at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 939 Hinman Ave. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 2.
The St. Luke’s Skinner organ, known throughout the world for its power and beauty of tone, is one of the cultural treasures of Evanston.
Tickets for the recital are $30 premium, $25 adult, and $15 for students with ID. A limited number of tickets for both the recital and a post-concert reception at nearby Campagnola restaurant are available for $80.
All proceeds from the concert will support Opus 327, a non-profit organization whose mission is the promotion and preservation of St. Luke’s pipe organ.
