Snow is expected to enter our area around 6pm tonight and last till 9pm Friday night. We can see snow totals of 5 to 8.5 inches, if not more, by Friday night. Please note that this system will be an issue for the morning commute as 4 to 5 inches may be on the ground by 7am.  There is a chance of heavy bands that can produce up to 1 inch of snow per hour.
There will be no snow route parking ban tonight, but a ban will be in effect for Friday night into Saturday morning. Parking is not permitted between 11pm and 6am on those designated routes.
Also, a snow emergency is anticipated for Saturday and Sunday. Snow emergencies apply to residential streets which are not posted as snow routes. The City will be cleaning the even side of the street on Saturday the 10th, and the odd side of the street on Sunday the 11th. That means parking on the even side of the street will be prohibited on Saturday and parking on the odd side of the street will be prohibited on Sunday.
This same weather system may bring an additional 1 to 2.5 inches on Saturday from 8am to 7pm.
Public Works Agency is on alert and monitoring all forecasts. Crews have been scheduled to be in throughout the event and cleanup.

Thank you all for your cooperation and please be safe.
