On Feb. 15, at approximately 8:06 a.m., Metra notified the Evanston Police Department that an engineer had observed a body along the tracks near Dempster Street, said Commander Ryan Glew of the EPD. Police officers located a body along the north bound Metra tracks on the overpass at Dempster Street. The body appears to be a male white of unknown age. The identity is unknown.  The condition of the body is consistent with being struck by a train. It is unknown when the initial incident occurred, said Commander Glew. 

Evanston Police Detective Bureau is investigating.  There will be some Metra service disruption due to the investigation at the scene.
