Save the date of Thursday April 26, 2018 at 7:00 PM for the Evanston Police Department’s third Town Hall Meeting. The Town Hall Meeting will be held in the Parasol Room at the Lorraine Morton Center, 2100 Ridge Avenue. The meeting will focus on Social Media, Crime Prevention and Community Policing. The meeting is the third in a series of town hall style meetings hosted by the police department. Each meeting focuses on a specific variety of topics and issues shared by citizens facilitated by Dr. Gilo Kwesi Logan. Additionally, each meeting covers police policies, procedures, and protocols as related to the topics of discussion. The objective of these meetings is to engage in a positive and productive conversation with the community while working to develop feasible solutions to community concerns.
The Evanston Police Department would like to invite citizens to join us and engage in thoughtful discussion. Over the next month the Evanston Police Department will seek to engage the community with press updates and social media in an effort to maximize interest and attendance.
The format of the meetings will consist of a facilitated panel discussion, followed by a question and answer session. A future press release will solicit questions for the town hall meeting.
