The Flying Fish swim team of YWCA Evanston/North Shore finished fourth overall at the Sun Kissed Invitational, a national meet held April 5-8 in Charlotte, N.C.
Aidan Dillon led the way for the Flying Fish, placing first in the senior boys 1,000-yard freestyle (9:17:24) and 200-yard freestyle (1:41.42). Aidan also placed second in the senior boys 500-yard freestyle (4:31.51) and third in the 400-yard individual medley (4:08.82).
Other first-place finishers included Ethan Lim in the senior boys 200-yard breaststroke (2:06.6) and Evan Ziolkowski in the senior boys 100-yard freestyle (46.91).
Aidan, Ethan and Evan teamed up with Matt Gibson to finish second in the senior boys 200-yard medley relay (1:36.86), and, with Tommy Hackley, took third in the senior boys 400-yard freestyle relay (3:12.68).
In the senior girls division, Clio Hancock finished second in both the 400-yard individual medley (4:22.14) and 200-yard butterfly (2:06.58). She also touched third in the 200-yard individual medley (2:06.24).
Clio joined Lily Consiglio, Hana Weber and Sophia Girgenti to take third in the senior girls 200-yard medley relay (1:49.16).
In the junior boys division, Milo Balzer placed third in the 100-yard butterfly (58.64).
