Enyaeva Michelin turned in two more record performances and sophomore Alliyah Jones tied for top honors in the triple jump Saturday, leading Evanston’s girls track team to a third place finish in the team standings at the Palatine Relays.

Barrington won the team championship with 132 points, followed by host Palatine with 129 and ETHS with 83.

Michelin lowered her own school records with winning efforts in both the 800 meter and 1600 meter races. She shattered the 1600 mark by 4 seconds with a time of 4 minutes, 50.03 seconds and also ruled the 800 in 2:11.33, just under her previous mark of 2:11.62.

Jones’ best leap of 35 feet, 2 inches was a personal best and tied Lane Tech’s Amira Hardman for first in the triple jump. Evanston also scored a first place finish in the 4 x 100 shuttle hurdle relay, behind the foursome of Iman Musinovic, Sabine Gratch, Denise Partee and Ivory Lawrence in 1:11.85.

Evanston earned runnerup finishes in both the 800 relay and the 1600 sprint medley relay. In the 800, the team of Gabriella Calixte, Kaila Holland, Maia Hadaway and Chassa Pratt combined for a time of 1:46.56, just one second off the established Illinois High School Association state qualifying standard.

Jones, Drew Patterson, Mia Dzwierzynski and Gabrielle Horton placed second in the sprint medley in 4:24.84.
