The Infant Welfare Society of Evanston raised more than $100,000 at its seventh annual Warm Your Palate event on April 19. More than 220 guests filled Northwestern Segal Visitors Center on the lake, supporting IWS’s mission to elevate the conversation about “the first 1,100 days of life” and why a focus on pre-natal care through age three is so critical to the success of all children. IWS announced the construction of the Tom Kendall Gross Motor and Play Area at its site located at 2200 Main St., which it hopes to open this coming winter.
