Good Morning, Evanston

Morning Rain Update
The City recorded approximately 1 inch of rain yesterday and has recorded approximately ½ inch of rain so far today. Public Works Agency Director Dave Stoneback reports, “We received only one basement backup complaint last night around midnight and it was determined to be a private problem since the City’s sewer was not surcharged.
“We anticipate more calls as residents get up for the day. We have crews covering the city looking for street flooding and can respond to any backup complaints that come in.”
The Forestry division has not reported any issues.
