It’s July 5. The work week resumes.

The National Weather Service reports that the water temperatures of Lake Michigan yesterday were 67 at the Chicago shore, 62 at the Chicago crib and 71 at the Wilmette buoy. And on land it was hot.

The Housing and Homelessness Commission meeting originally scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. on July 12 in the Morton Civic Center, room G300.

The City’s 311 service now closes at 6 p.m.? That has been the case since June 27.
