Foundation 65 welcomed five new Evanston/Skokie community members to its board of directors: Larry Brown, Andrea Ford, Kimberly Mahal Laude, Alicia Salina and Steve Zehr.
“Our newest members bring a wonderfully diverse set of perspectives to the board,” said Diane Lequar, Interim Executive Director. “We are fortunate to have their energy and talent as we support our schools and children.”
Mr. Brown is the Lead Software Developer at Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy.
Ms. Ford is Senior Director, Administration & Strategic Planning at Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering.
Ms. Laude specializes in the Kuumba Arts curriculum, which teaches the history and customs of various cultures through its traditional art forms.
Ms. Salinas has been an active volunteer in District 65 schools since her daughters started school, serving as a fluency tutor, a kindergarten literacy partner and Books and Breakfast tutor and summer reading buddy.
Mr. Zehr is a mechanical engineer focused on infrastructure and energy enhancement upgrades to commercial and institutional buildings.

Foundation 65 has formally launched a search for a new Executive Director. A search committee composed of Foundation 65 Board members and community leaders will review applicants and welcomes all referrals.
