Northwestern University invites all Evanston community members to the third annual Community Picnic on Saturday, July 21 from 3 to 6 p.m. on the East Lawn of Norris University Center, 1999 Campus Drive on the Evanston campus.

The Community Picnic provides an opportunity for neighbors to enjoy an afternoon of free food, music and family activities on the Northwestern campus.

This year’s vendors include Hecky’s Barbecue, Tomate Fresh Kitchen, YoFresh Yogurt, Chicago Balloon Twister, face painting by Ludy Gerardi and The Fun Ones.

Super hero and comic strip activities for children will be sponsored by Northwestern Art Circle in partnership with Block Museum of Art and Northwestern libraries.

“Our picnic celebrates Northwestern’s vibrant partnership with the City of Evanston and our Evanston community,” said Alan Anderson, executive director of Neighborhood and Community Relations at Northwestern.

Admission to the Northwestern Community Picnic is free and open to all, however registration is requested by July 18.
