Two screenings of the Shorefront documentary “Lorraine H. Morton: A Life Worthwhile” in the Parasol Room of the Morton Civic Center. 11: 30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Among other things, viewers will learn the first name of this remarkable woman who served for 16 years as our mayor.
Evanston Children’s Theater will present “Into the Woods, Jr. ,” a new take on Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s groundbreaking musical fairytale about wishes and choices. A shorter, family-friendly version of the Broadway musical. Main Library, 4 p.m.

The special City Council meeting begins at 6. Expect information about the 2019 budget and the priority-based budgeting process.
