The Evanston Public Library will be conducting a public hearing on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. to give consideration to the Fiscal Year 2019 Proposed Budget Document.  The total amount of the Fiscal Year 2019 Proposed Budget for the library’s operating, debt subsidy and capital funds is $10,007,242.  The purpose of this hearing is to allow for public input on the proposed budget document.

The hearing will be held in the Falcon Room on the 3rd floor of the Main Library located at 1703 Orrington Avenue, Evanston, Illinois.

Copies of the Fiscal Year 2019 Proposed Budget are available at the Evanston Public Library, the Evanston Public Library North Branch, and the Evanston Public Library Chicago Avenue/Main Street Branch for public review, and online at https://www.epl.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/library-budgetproposals-20180926.pdf.  The public is invited to attend or may submit comments in writing to Karen Danczak Lyons, Library Director, 1703 Orrington Avenue, Evanston, Illinois 60201 or via email to tcampbell@cityofevanston.org.

EPL is largely supported by a property tax levy. Approval of this source of funding is part of the City of Evanston budget process which follows next month.  You may also comment on the Library levy during the budget hearings conducted by the City.
