The Evanston Police Department is launching a new program, Five-O Fitness, a program for those 18 years or older, in partnership with local gyms and fitness trainers. The aim of the program is to promote fitness and healthy diet through continued outreach   between the Evanston Police Department and Evanston community.

Five-O Fitness, modeled after Coffee with a Cop, will allow community members to interact with Evanston police
officers in a fitness setting, as well as highlighting local gyms and fitness centers.

The first event will be held 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Oct. 6 at Centennial Park.  Albert Ferguson, owner of The Fitness Matrix, will provide the first workout.  Admission is $1. Participants must register with the police department and should bring water and a towel.
