I.  A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for the Evanston Public Library, Cook County, Illinois for 2018 will be held on October 17, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. at 1703 Orrington Avenue, Evanston, Illinois.

II.  The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended for the Evanston Public Library for 2017 equaled $6,761,668.  The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied and extended for 2018 equals $6,887,755.  This represents a 1.86% increase over the previous year.

III.  The property taxes extended for the Evanston Public Library debt service for 2017 equaled $352,847.  The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service for 2018 equals $360,650.  This represents a 2.21% increase over the previous year.

IV.  The total property taxes extended or abated for the Evanston Public Library for 2017 equaled $7,114,515.  The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2018 equals $7,248,405.  This represents an 1.88% increase over the previous year.
