On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, musicians and other artists will present a program of remembrance for the armistice signed at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918. Known at times as the Great War and the War to End all Wars, it is now called World War I. The program, “100 Years: Remembering the World War I Armistice,” will begin with a Choral Evensong at 4 p.m., followed by organ music and poetry commemorating those who served and the armistice that ended World War I.

Artists and musicians who will perform include St. Luke’s Choir, St. James of Chicago Trebles; Stephan Buzard, director, actor Jill Shellabarger, poet Barbara Skalinder and organist Sean Knudson. The free program takes place St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 939 Hinman Ave.
