The City of Evanston’s annual holiday light recycling program will be held from Dec. 1 through Jan. 31. This year’s donations will be recycled in conjunction with the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) and Elgin Recycling.

All holiday string lighting and extension cords are accepted through this free program. Garlands, live greens and wreaths will not be accepted.

Lights can be dropped off at the following Evanston locations:

Evanston Ecology Center, 2024 McCormick Blvd.   Monday thru Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.   Saturday: 8 a.m. to noonEvanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Ave.   Monday thru Thursday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.   Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.   Sunday: Noon to 6 p.m.Levy Senior Center, 300 Dodge Ave.   Monday thru Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.   Saturday and Sunday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
