Evanston Township High School presents “The Colored Museum” on Feb. 14, 15 and 16. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. each evening in the ETHS Upstairs Theatre.
Described as redefining ideas of what it means to be black in contemporary America, “The Colored Museum” has electrified, discomforted and delighted audiences of all colors. Its 11 “exhibits” undermine Black stereotypes old and new and return to the facts of what being Black means.
The ETHS Fine Arts Department welcomes Tim Rhoze as director of the high school’s winter play. Mr. Rhoze is currently the Artistic Director at Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre in Evanston.
General admission tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for students and senior citizens. Printable tickets are available online at www.ethsfinearts.com, and at the ETHS box office before each performance.
Located at 1600 Dodge Ave., the ETHS Upstairs Theatre is accessible by elevator. Parking is available in the lot across from the main entrance, off Dodge Avenue or in the lots behind the high school. More information is available by calling the ETHS Fine Arts Office at 847-424-7130.
