On Jan. 29, ETHS girls gymnastic team finished third in the Regionals with a score of 131.40. In that meet freshman Katherine Luna tied for 5th place on the balance beam, and junior Jamie Otwell finished 5th in all-around scoring in the region. Each qualified to participate in the Sectionals, and it is possible that additional Wildkits could qualify once the Illinois High School Association adds to the list of at-large qualifiers.
The Sectionals were held at Stephenson Feb. 6, after this paper went to press.
