Evanston Police Announce Fourth Town Hall Meeting
Evanston Police will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting on February 21, 2019, from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Avenue in room G300. The meeting will focus on Rights, Responsibilities and Reasonability in Evanston. There will be a discussion about the roles of the police and the community relating to these issues.
The meeting is the fourth in a series of town hall style meetings hosted by the Police Department. Each meeting focuses on a specific variety of topics and is facilitated by Dr. Gilo Kwesi Logan. Each meeting covers police policies, procedures, and protocols related to the topic of discussion. The first meeting focused on Cultural Awareness and Community Policing. The second focused on Gangs and Drugs and Unsolved Homicides. The third focused on Social Media, Crime Prevention and Community Policing.
The Evanston Police Department invites citizens to join us and engage in thoughtful discussion. The format of the meetings will consist of a facilitated panel discussion, followed by a question and answer session. This event will be live on the department’s Facebook page.
