Team Evanston and Chicago Fire Juniors North Shore soccer clubs are proud to have two National Finalists for the 2019 Positive Coaching Alliance Double-Gold Coach Award: Almir Hot and Dule Radovanovic.
The Double-Gold Coach Award recognizes youth and high school sports coaches who not only strive to win but also pursue the more important goal of teaching life lessons to their players through sports.
Nominations were submitted in November and the national finalists were announced earlier this month. From the pool of 141 national finalists, 50 national Winners were recently announced at the PCA’s Positive Impact Awards event, at which Mr. Hot and Mr. Radovanovic were both recognized as finalists. They were selected from nearly 1,000 nominees representing 47 states from across the country.
Both coaches are well established within Evanston Soccer Association’s two clubs, Team Evanston and Chicago Fire Juniors North Shore. Mr. Hot, Director of Coaching for Team Evanston, joined the ESA team in 2016. Mr. Radovanovic, Director of Recruiting for CFJNS Boys, began coaching with the club in 2011. Both of these men know how to connect with their players and bring out the best efforts from their teams. Players benefit from the guidance and leadership both coaches provide as they model good sportsmanship through respect for teammates, opponents, officials and rules.
