Community members, particularly those living near the waste transfer station, 1711 Church St., are invited to a meeting about an upcoming air quality study, scheduled for 6:30-9 p.m. on May 2 at the Gibbs-Morrison Cultural Center, 1823 Church St. Aldermen Peter Braithwaite and Robin Rue Simmons, and staff from the City and from RHP Risk Management, the consultant hired to conduct a six-month air quality monitoring study around the waste transfer station, will attend. RHP Risk Management’s study will evaluate the air quality around the waste transfer station and to identify the sources of potential contaminants.
